About Rasheda
Rasheda Crockett is an accomplished television writer and performer who began her career in 2016 with her first Writers Guild of America (WGA) role on Harlem Code. Her trajectory quickly advanced to writing for network television, including shows like Talk Show the Game Show and Adam Ruins Everything, where her impactful episode, Adam Ruins Guns, was submitted for an award by the HUMANITAS Foundation.
In 2019, Rasheda's writing took on a new dimension when she participated in the CBS Diversity Showcase. There, she not only wrote for herself but discovered a deeper connection to her own voice, opening the door to her award-winning The Rasheda Crockett Sketch Comedy Show. The series earned a W3 Award for creativity and innovation, leading to her role as a series regular on BET’s hit show BIGGER.
For Rasheda, writing is much more than just a profession; it’s a form of meditation and a means of activism. She employs the "humor effect" to seamlessly integrate facts with humor, allowing her audience to absorb critical messages with clarity. Writing is her passion, her tool, and her gift—a way to bring healing through laughter and inspire evolution through storytelling. She continues to develop and pitch a slate of new shows in collaboration with her managers at Artists First, using comedy as a vehicle for change.
